Keyboard shortcuts and how to change them?

Hello,
I have noticed that the arrow keys and space key have certain functionality when streaming to Chromecast, however I want to edit these if possible.
My problem is I have sync issues in some of my subtitles and I can correct the sync by keeping subtitle options open and leave the focus on subtitle sync inputbox by using up/down keys on keyboard. However, the up/down keys also affect volume and I haven't found a way to sync subtitles by keyboard without messing volume. I always need to do it with mouse and that's quite hard when I'm on couch, not in front of the computer. Any help is much appreciated. (it may even deal with .js file editing, I won't' mind :))

If the program has not been built with specific features that allow its users to do this, I don’t think you actually can. You could use software that reacts to different shortcuts by sending one of the shortcuts the software you are talking about does know, but that is not really what you’re asking, I suspect? I had a similar problem after purchasing https://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2022/06/13/what-is-the-silicone-cover-for-on-keyboard/ on my MacBook. I chose a slightly wrong silicone pad. I just confused my laptop model with another model. But it's not so scary. I also had to change the assignment of various keys in order to use the laptop normally. I hope I helped you.
