No one shall manufacture, store for sale, sell, import, or distribute products that do not comply with the Indian standard and do not bear the Standard Mark with a unique registration number received from BIS, according to Compulsory Registration Scheme Orders.
The BIS has a mandatory registration process for electronics and IT products. Electronics and IT products must be registered under the CRS scheme before being released into the market.
